5 Things You Missed at Igloofest 2025, a Wintry Dance Music Dreamscape
Montréal's Old Port in 2025 once again became a luminous arctic playground for Igloofest, where the chill of the season only amplified the energy of the crowd.
Dubbed "the world's iciest festival," Igloofest has grown from a small-scale winter gathering to one of the city's premier electronic music events, drawing tens of thousands each year since its inception back in 2007. But it returned bigger than ever in 2025, and EDM.com was on the ground to experience it.
Imagine ravers dressed up in their boldest snow gear, dancing under starlit skies to the grooves of Michael Bibi, Claptone, Dombresky and more. Their sultry sounds sliced through the frigid air like a warm knife through butter.
Over in the vibrant Igloovillage hub, attendees found an adult playground complete with selfie stations, a funhouse with mirrors, a slide and Liquid IV ski shots. Meanwhile, food trucks served up Beaver Tails (a must-try), poutine and crepes.
It's difficult to recap a festival replete with highlights, but we've narrowed it down to a handful. Read on to discover five things you missed at Igloofest 2025.
Yetis everywhere
The Yetis reigned supreme at Igloofest. Decked out in fur suits, ski goggles and Igloofest jerseys, these lovable mascots blurred the line between performer and partygoer with their boundless energy.
Après-ski afterparties
Igloofest's organizers once again proved that the magic doesn't end at the festival. Channeling the alpine charm and indulgent revelry of "Après-ski"—a French phrase referring to partying after a day on the slopes—their branded afterparties returned with a bang, especially the one we hit at one of Montréal's top clubs, New City Gas.

Chic winter festival fashion
The winter festival fashion statements found throughout Igloofest were arguably the most impressive we've seen. Neon snowsuits, chic parkas, adorned ski goggles and more unique fits added to the festival's one-of-a-kind vibe. Liquid IV even had their own branded snowsuits.
Vidéotron speakeasy stage
A surrealist neon light tunnel led us to the Vidéotron stage, where Igloosapiens could experience the festival's first-ever speakeasy festival stage. It had a hidden bar, a 360° setup and eye-popping visuals projected onto shipping containers.

Michael Bibi's Canadian welcome
British house music superstar Michael Bibi, who recently beat a rare form of cancer, flew straight from Tulum to Montréal without packing a winter jacket. After the Igloofest team stepped up and gave him an incredible neon puffer jacket with geometric shapes, he threw down one of the weekend's best DJ sets.
