9-Year-Old DJ Becomes Youngest to Ever Perform at Glastonbury Festival
A few years ago, DJ Archie broke a Guinness World Record at the age of four to became the world's youngest club DJ. Now he's become the youngest to ever perform at the iconic Glastonbury Festival.
Archie is only nine years old, but his accomplishments in the dance music space are already stacking up. The prodigy took an interest in music as early as two and learned the ropes from his father, DJ Essex.
Archie already has a lot to write home about and has all the makings of a bright future ahead, but he's still subject to nerves ahead of a high-profile performance.
"When I first DJ, I'll get a bit nervous," he told Greatest Hits Radio. "So that's why I'm not doing that good, like, moving around. Well at the beginning, then I'll settle into it."
Archie hardly got cold feet, however, and seemed to have the time of his life tearing up Glastonbury's Hive stage with drum & bass. He also linked up with many of his fellow DJ peers backstage, including the great Andy C.
With one major festival set down, Archie has aspirations to perform in the U.S. and beyond in the near future.
"We've got a few bits and pieces to do but I think the dream would be to do one of the big festivals in America, something like EDC," said Essex.
