Las Vegas governor green-lights casino reopenings
Although Las Vegas nightclubs remain closed, governor Steve Sisolak casinos has given casinos the greenlight to reopen at half capacity beginning June 4. Wynn Las Vegas, The Venetian and Palazzo, Treasure Island, The Cosmopolitan, Jerry’s Nugget, and MGM Resorts, among others, have announced details regarding their respective reactivations and the precautions that they will be taking to stymie disease spread.
Preemptive measures at The Cosmopolitan include sanitation improvements, non-invasive temperature screenings, and modifications to floor plans and furniture positioning to meet social distancing guidelines. Jerry’s Nugget staff will distribute masks to guests who do not have one, but advise casino goers to come prepared with a facial covering. Temperature checks will be performed prior to attendee admission and hand sanitizer will be available throughout the casino.
