Honey Dijon remixes Alewya's debut single, 'Sweating'

In May, Alewya announced herself to the music world with her feature on burgeoning star Little Simz’ latest EP, Drop 6. Promptly after, the UK-based producer (pictured above) shared her debut single “Sweating,” a sultry dance track powered by Alewya’s catchy flow. Now, “Sweating” receives the full remix package treatment courtesy of fellow UK-based producer Honey Dijon.

In her remix, Honey Dijon strips away the original’s syncopated rhythm in favor of a classic four-on-the-floor house style. Additionally, a bouncy bass line compliments the accelerated tempo in the remix and dub mix. All in all, Alewya’s original slow burning “Sweating” is transformed into a dancefloor house heater that, in Honey Dijon’s words, is “Black Girl Magic at it’s finest. The future is female!”
