Pig&Dan’s Dan Duncan Launches Collectable NFT Platform ‘CryptoDJs’ With Team of Tech Savvy Music Enthusiasts
by Billie Margot ·

CryptoDJs – the brand new NFT concept offering unique digital collectable cards of some of the world’s most respected electronic music artists – launches today, February 9, on the Polygon blockchain.
Created by a small group of DJs, music lovers and experts from across the music industry, CryptoDJs offers new ways for to fans to engage with their favourite artists, by opening up access to exclusive communities and content through collectable NFTs.
The platform launches with the ‘Genesis Drop’ sale of digital cards for eight internationally renowned techno artists – Pig&Dan, Christian Smith, Simina Grigoriu, Victor Ruiz, Gregor Tresher, Mark Reeve, Wehbba and Ken Ishii.
Priced at $66 per card, there are a total of 30 unique NFT cards currently available for each artist (240 in total) with more cards to be added over the coming months. Fans can buy in USD using their credit card (without connecting a crypto wallet) or in cryptocurrency by connecting a MetaMask wallet.
Each card is totally unique and 10% of the cards (3 per artist) will feature an exclusive, unreleased audio track from the artist in question. Tracks will be hidden in the cards of the respective artist’s favourite colour.
Supporters can build their own dynamic CryptoDJs collection and gain access to exclusive experiences and content by accumulating special card combinations. Specific combinations will unlock specific opportunities; from access to unreleased music, backstage passes to a special gallery in Decentraland, artist meet and greets, AAA concert passes and more.
All cards are minted through the Polygon Blockchain, which was specifically chosen because of its incredibly low power consumption and its focus on leading the NFT world into a more carbon neutral society.
Following the initial launch, collectors will also be able to trade cards on Opensea – the world’s leading NFT marketplace.
Speaking about the concept and the Genesis Drop, CryptoDJs co-founder Dan Duncan commented:
“What really excites me about being part of CryptoDJs, is the fact it’s built on authenticity. It’s been created to provide opportunities for us as artists to engage with those who support us in new and innovate ways. A gateway to grow a genuine collectors community.” – Dan Duncan.
One of the eight artists to be involved in the Genesis drop, Berlin-based techno DJ and Kuukou Records label boss Simina Grigoriu, also commented:
“I’m honoured to be part of CryptoDJs and I look forward to this thrilling collaboration with some of my favourite artists. CryptoDJs is the perfect platform where music enthusiasts and collectors can come together it create a truly unique experience. Think of it like baseball cards, but digital and with DJs” – Simina Grigoriu
