ODESZA Deliver Second Package of “The Last Goodbye” Remixes
The EP features eight remixes, including tracks produced by Hayden James, Neil Frances and Joseph Ray of Nero.
With each track steeped in dreamlike energy, ODESZA have released a brand new remix EP, offering a fresh perspective on their Grammy-nominated The Last Goodbye album.
It starts with Hayden James' remix of the album's titular track, a euphoric and bass-heavy cut that commands attention and can spice up any dancefloor. Then comes a remix of "Light of Day" by Parra for Cuva, who transports us to a meditative headspace with his blissful, chilled take on the track. Meanwhile, NASAYA, who said it was "such an honour" to remix ODESZA, weaves soft, emotive vocals through her take on "Equal."
"This Version of You" was reworked by Nero's Joseph Ray, who produced uplifting sound design with layers of ambient, reverberating pads that takes flings you into a dream state. Renowned electronic music producer Nosaj Thing also took on the opening track of The Last Goodbye, warping its captivating vocals in a minimalistic house track takes you to another dimension, lost in thought.
"Love Letter" was remixed by obli, whose remix incorporates glitchy elements soaked in rich, danceable funk to pair with the track's soulful vocals. Neil Frances dials up the BPM of "North Garden" to produce an electric jam dripping with groove and soul, and Hot Chip’s take on "Wide Awake" coalesces an airy vitality with Charlie Houston's dreamy vocals.
