Electric Zoo Unleashes the Beast: Check Out the 2023 Festival’s Sprawling Lineup

They say good things come to those who wait.

The organizers of Electric Zoo, who typically announce the festival's lineup six months ahead of its annual Labor Day Weekend dates, have revealed its 2023 lineup. In one fell swoop, New York’s flagship electronic music festival dropped its full 2023 roster—instead of staggering it into phases—alongside daily lineups, a new "Hyperspace" theme and a compelling list of stage curators.

As diverse as the city it calls home, Electric Zoo will feature artists across the electronic music gamut. From unrelenting dubstep to ethereal house music, there’s something for everyone.

"I have not witnessed such a thriving and expansive electronic music community in the Big Apple since Electric Zoo's inception 14 years ago,” Michael Julian, the festival's Chief of Marketing, said. “We can’t wait to welcome the most vibrant and energetic crowd yet this Labor Day Weekend to party together with the Electric Zoo community, artists, industry players, and festival travelers from around the world, forging an unparalleled celebration in the heart of New York City.”

Electric Zoo’s headliners include household names Zedd, Alison Wonderland, Tiësto, The Chainsmokers, Kaskade, Marshmello, and Major Lazer. Not to mention a slew of b2b performances, like Chris Lake and Fisher, Dom Dolla and John Summit, Zeds Dead and Griz, Nora En Pure and Franky Wah, HI-LO and Eli Brown, Dubfire and Ilario Alicante, and Boogie T and Dirt Monkey.

Head-bangers can take in DJ sets from Excision, NGHTMRE, Rusko, Jantsen, ATLiens, PEEKABOO and Truth while a gentler serenade can be found with Madeon, Elderbrook, Kasbo, Gryffin and Said The Sky.

This time around, Electric Zoo also ups the ante on its house and techno offerings, featuring trailblazing artists Green Velvet, The Blessed Madonna and Grammy Award-winning duo CamelPhat. Plus, tech house stars like ACRAZE, Cloonee, Deeper Purpose and Mau P, melodic house artists like Andhim, Nora En Pure and Francis Mercier, and techno acts like Stephan Bodzin, Massano and Recondite.

GRiZ also gets a grand New York finale at Electric Zoo ahead of his indefinite hiatus a month after the festival. The saxophone-wielding superstar will play three sets: a joint performance with Zeds Dead, headlining solo set and a sultry “Chasing The Golden Hour” set.

For the first time, Electric Zoo will expand its footprint across Randall’s Island Park, making room for its brand-new immersive "festival in a festival" stage concept by Brooklyn Mirage. Dubbed "MegaMirage," the stage will be co-curated by Cityfox, Brooklyn Mirage’s pioneering team and Gray Area, one of New York’s top house music promoters.

Other stage takeovers include the worldwide debut of Dom Dolla and John Summit’s
Everything Always, the festival premiere of Chris Lake and Fisher’s Under Construction, Nora En Pure’s Purified label, and another year of Liquid Stranger’s Wakaan label. In an effort for greater inclusivity and representation, Jake Resnicow, one of the OUT100 Most Influential LGBTQ People of the Year in 2018, will host Electric Zoo’s inaugural LGBTQ stage, Dreamland.

A cherry on top of the stellar lineup, exclusive stage curators and extended grounds are the lowest ticket prices in the festival’s history, embodying the Electric Zoo team’s belief that dancing is not a luxury, but a necessity at times of economic turmoil like these.
