Javi Torres, Alba Dreid, and STBAN Unite for Afro-Latin House Anthem ‘Habibi’

Following a string of successful releases from UK-based producers James Hurr and Loz Seka, FLAMENCA Records founder STBAN is back at the helm with his latest single, 'Habibi'. The track, which officially dropped on April 10th, marks another significant milestone for the imprint as it continues to bridge the gap between traditional flamenco influences and modern electronic music.

'Habibi' is a masterclass in percussive Afro-Latin House, blending the heat of Arabesque instrumentation with the relentless, driving energy of contemporary dance floor production. To achieve this unique sound, STBAN collaborated with two of the most exciting figures in the Spanish music scene: DJ and percussionist Javi Torres and the multi-talented singer and DJ Alba Dreid.

The result is a high-octane weapon designed for peak-time sets, characterized by its thundering basslines and intricate, rhythmic layers that pay homage to the artists' cultural roots while maintaining a global, club-ready appeal.

Meet the Artists Behind the Sound

Javi Torres has cemented his reputation across southern Europe and Latin America through his explosive performances, which often feature live percussion integrated directly into his Afrohouse and Latin Tech sets. His work has garnered support from industry titans including Martin Garrix, Alok, Jamie Jones, Hugel, Aaron Sevilla, Roger Sanchez, Mëstiza, MichaelBM, Tom & Collins, Novak, Nicky Romero, Paco Osuna, Salvarote Ganacci, and Sammy Porter.

Joining him is Alba Dreid, who gained national recognition in Spain following her appearance on the RTVE program La Bien Cantá. Dreid is dedicated to bringing Spanish folklore to a global audience, making her collaboration with STBAN a natural fit for the label’s mission to fuse traditional elements with electronic innovation.
