Swedish House Mafia have worked hard to ensure that 2022 is the defining year of their return to the music world. With a brand new album of new songs and a return to the stage and tour life, the trio seemed to have cemented the comeback they began at Ultra Music 2018.
With the Paradise Again World Tour less than a week away, it seems that things are not all going to plan for Axwell, Ingrosso, and Steve Angello as the group has cancelled several North American dates and ticket prices on resale sites appear to be dropping. After a fan received notification that their tickets for the August 9th show at Boston’s TD Garden would be refunded, they reached out directly to the source for some answers. In the screen shot shared from Instagram DM’s, the fan directly confronted Axwell about the notification received. While the producer makes no mention of low ticket sales and instead focuses on production concerns, he does share a Dropbox link to an unreleased Swedish House Mafia track, Underneath It All, in hopes of making some amends.

The song itself quickly made its way across the internet as fans were excited to finally hear the ID which the group had played in the past but had yet to see an official release. Featuring the vocals of Mike Posner, the single recalls many of the elements that made Don’t You Worry Child a global hit. Beginning with a pounding kick and distorted piano line, a layered synth, Posner’s voice comes right in, opening with the line, “If I had a son, I would name him King…” before moving on to the hook, with it’s repeated refrain of “Underneath it all, I love you,” on top of a pulsing bass, light lead pattern and a pad of vocals. The track is no doubted rooted in the DNA of Swedish House Mafia’s biggest singles and this surprise release will hopefully mean the song is featured on a deluxe version of Paradise Again as it is no doubt built for radio and festival stages around the world.
