Baauer, graves unleash remix of Rae Sremmurd’s 'Black Beatles'
Baauer and graves just casually released an edit of Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles” on Twitter as a free download through Dropbox. The original’s vocals glide through a mist of lush keys and serene ambiance towards a clap-heavy build that unleashes into a percussion-forward vocal chop melodic trap atmosphere. With a second drop that has more of a future bass tinge while maintaining experimental allure, the re-work proves a nice snack after Baauer shared tastes from his sophomore studio album.
The current four releases from PLANET’S MAD dive into a broad range of sounds and sub-genres, showcasing an experimental side that conceptualizes the Aa producer’s exercise in sensory-prodding maximalism. So, when listeners hear the work on the “Black Beatles” edit, Baauer’s current state of sound exploration can be heard.
PLANET’S MAD is set to drop June 5 through Baauer’s LuckyMe Records.
