Bandcamp is waiving its revenue share on sales made this Friday to help struggling artists
Bandcamp has announced it will waive its revenue share for all sales made on the platform this Friday, March 20, to help musicians who are struggling through the COVID-19 outbreak.
The full amount from all sales made on Bandcamp will go directly to artists on that day.
Artists are being hit hard with swathes of tour date cancellations, and many producers are surviving on sales of music.

In a statement Bandcamp wrote: “For many artists, a single day of boosted sales can mean the difference between being able to pay rent or not.”
The platform has also compiled suggestions of further ways artists can be assisted, including fans gifting their favourite music and merch to friends and providing an artist guide with tips on boosting sales.
