Blanke and helloworld Drop Illuminating Heartache Anthem, “Used to Losing You”

The emotive tune, which features Luma and JT Roach, marks Blanke's debut release on Monstercat.

Perhaps the toughest pill to swallow when it comes to breakups is that you're essentially mourning the loss of someone who didn't pass. And no matter the circumstances of the separation, it's never easy to forge a new path in the aftermath of a loss.

Exploring the feelings of heartache inspired by a breakup, Blanke has teamed up with breakout producer and singer-songwriter helloworld for a new Monstercat record, "Used to Losing You."

The single is a delicate mix of Blanke's signature melodic bass, which blends seamlessly with helloworld's ethereal style. The arrangement consists of intense builds and dynamic midtempo drops, complemented by an emotive and powerful topline courtesy of Luma and JT Roach.

"The process of letting go is strange because it’s a process," Luma tells EDM.com. "We can't lose somebody we love or walk away from something familiar and instantly forget or forgive or detach. I think writing this song was so special because it speaks to how difficult it is to begin to let yourself let go—something every human knows something about."

Luma has always had a penchant for singing, songwriting and poetry. Over the years, the Jersey-born artist has become an in-demand vocalist in the electronic music space, having collaborated with the likes of Adventure Club, ARMNHMR and Bear Grillz in addition to projects with both Blanke and helloworld.

“So happy to be collaborating with so many friends on this song," Blanke added. "Brit, JT and Drew are all incredible artists and friends of mine. Luma and JT portray such a vulnerable story. I think we’ve put together something truly moving, beautiful, and unique."
