Electric Blockaloo is the mother of all virtual festival events
Digital festival-inspired events have really taken off in recent months—they say necessity is the mother of invention, right? Here to one-up them all is Electric Blockaloo, a virtual Minecraft festival by Rave Family that’s promising over 300 acts across more than 40 stages, with recreations of some of America’s most iconic venues across June 25 – 28.
From A-Trak‘s Fool’s Gold imprint to Lane 8‘s This Never Happened, with Diplo‘s Higher Ground, Dirtybird, Desert Hearts, Bite This! and more in between, Electric Blockaloo is grouping dance music’s most in-demand labels and brands together for one hell of a weekend. GRiZ, Jamie Jones, TOKiMONSTA, Claptone, ZHU, Whethan, and more are among the weekend’s curators and performers, hosting sets and stages at virtual recreations of The Gorge, Red Rocks Amphitheater, a fully equipped digital campout, and even Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton office.
Electric Blockaloo admission ranges from $7 – $30, with the festival offering a 60/40 revenue share with the participating artists in an effort to help support their livelihood in an eventless reality. The event’s full lineup is expected to land in full shortly, but in the meantime, sift through the list of curators below.
