Eric Prydz opens Cirez D release vault – Dancing Astronaut
Eric Prydz returns home to his very own Mouseville Records, dropping the first Cirez D material on the Swedish imprint since 2018’s DARE U. Titled Valborg, the double sided release pack establishes Prydz’ timeless, driving club sound as a tantalizing tour de force amid the tailspin into the new decade.
Although many see Cirez D as the techno alias of Eric Prydz, the project’s releases play more like the underground complementary yang to the yin of his mainline productions. As fans have come to expect, the latest Cirez D release takes a sharp turn for the darker side of dance music, and while they may not be as vibrant and colorful as beloved Prydz tracks like “Opus,” as a result, they prevail with the same sense of melodic complexity and total enormity.
Eric Prydz’ personal catalogue runs as deep as anyone’s in the industry, riddled with years of longed-for IDs. The latest tracks however continue to flesh out setlists of diehards worldwide, with “Valborg” previously known as the elusive Tomorrowland 2019 ID.
