Flume to air his 2019 Red Rocks 'Flume & Friends' set on Twitch, YouTube
It was no secret that Flume was poised to have a momentous 2020 after his return last year. The Australian production virtuoso made waves with his highly regarded mixtape, Hi, This is Flume, the introduction of his brand new live show at Lollapalooza and Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater, as well as his crossover collaboration with Vera Blue, “Rushing Back.” Since then, Flume has decided to take 2020 by the horns, releasing his drum ‘n’ bass collaboration with Toro y Moi, “The Difference,” as well as a tongue-in-cheek flip of Eiffel 65’s classic, “Blue.”
Flume was scheduled to bring his new live show to festivals like Coachella and Governor’s Ball, among others, as well as a highly anticipated three-night run at Red Rocks, but given the coronavirus pandemic, fans—in the United States at least—will have to wait awhile before they will be able to experience the set in person. Flume, however, is determined not to leave his fans hanging, and has since announced that he will be live streaming his 2019 “Flume & Friends” set live from Red Rocks on his Twitch and YouTube channels on July 16.
The performance will feature appearances from Vera Blue, Reo Cragun, slowthai, and more. Those unfamiliar with Flume’s 2019 show can expect him to integrate spray paint, machinery demolition, and more while playing favorites from his mixtape as well as a batch of his own standout classics.
Tune in to Flume’s 2019 Red Rocks show on Twitch or YouTube at 9:00 p.m. EST/6:00 p.m. PST.
