Flying Lotus shares deluxe edition of 'Flamagra' with new instrumentals

Coming just over a year after the release of his sixth studio album, Flamagra, Flying Lotus has now shared a deluxe edition of the LP complete with instrumentals of every vocal-laden track.

This new offering includes a total of 54 cuts—exactly double the original’s 27. Rather than release the instrumentals separately, Flying Lotus (born Steve Ellison) has included them all within this new version of the album. The tracks that were without vocals originally have been included twice.

On the original version many prominent vocalists including Thundercat, Anderson .Paak, and Denzel Curry contributed their words and voices. Those who are familiar with Ellison’s music will, however, note that he thrives in the instrumental world, so without vocals these tracks take on their own new life.
