Hamdi Announces First U.S. Headlining Show

As legions of stateside producers feed into the resurgent 140 BPM trend—and turn back the clock to the golden days of dubstep—Hamdi is leading the charge.

Furiously rising from the U.K. underground, Hamdi is strapped into a rocket to stardom.

Gliding on the distorted wings of his breakthrough hit "Skanka," the surging DJ and producer is making quite an impact on the global bass music scene. Supported by Skrillex, Porter Robinson, Baauer, Fred again.. and many more, Hamdi's gritty music isn't poetry in motion, but poetry in mayhem.

Filthy U.K. grime and deep dubstep comprise the bedrock of Hamdi's raw sound, which will soon become inescapable after his upcoming foray into the U.S. club market. And as legions of stateside producers feed into the resurgent 140 BPM trend—turning back the clock to the golden days of dubstep—Hamdi's breakout is all but a foregone conclusion.

He has now announced his first-ever U.S. headlining show, a gig in Washington, DC alongside fellow bass music virtuoso Jon Casey. The momentous performance is scheduled for April 6th, a month ahead of a show in Portland supporting dubstep stars Dirt Monkey and Jantsen. After that, he'll head to the Bay Area for a landmark festival performance at Lightning in a Bottle's 20th anniversary.

"Many many more shows to be announced for my debut US run," Hamdi said in an announcement posted to Instagram.
