Kasbo shares warm, tranquil single from upcoming album

During a hectic, crowded festival, a Kasbo set can certainly usher in a much needed aura of calm. Almost like a meditation, the Swedish artist seamlessly blends organic instrumentation with electronic production, resulting in a warm, serene sonic experience. His new single, “Play Pretend,” is no different. Featuring silky vocals from Ourchives, the track is a nostalgic take on the story of a relationship that may have run its course.

“Play Pretend” is the first single from Kasbo’s upcoming sophomore album, The Making of a Paracosm. The forthcoming LP will be released on October 23 ODESZA‘s Foreign Family Collective and Ninja Tune imprint, Counter Records. The new album comes as a follow up to Kasbo’s acclaimed 2018 debut LP, Places We Don’t Know.
