Kygo shares 'Golden Hour' due date alongside final single with OneRepublic – Dancing Astronaut
Just 48 hours ahead of the four-year commemoration of Kygo’s freshman treasure, Cloud Nine, the king of tropical house and fans are collectively observing the tick of the clock towards the new effort. In what will serve as Kygo’s most expansive piece of work thus far, Golden Hour is scheduled to arrive in all of its 18-track glory on Friday, May 29. 13 of those pieces will remain as never-before-heard originals, including an A-list supporting vocal cast featuring Sandro Cavazza, Zac Brown, Valerie Broussard, and Joe Janiak—among others. Golden Hour will include its three previously released singles, “Higher Love” with Whitney Houston, and one final single in the form of a homecoming with OneRepublic.
Kygo and Ryan Tedder are far from collaborative strangers, acquainted on “Strangers Things,” which appeared on the Norwegian producer’s 2017 body of work. Offering a stripped-back formula in context of its Kids In Love counterpart, Kygo outlines “Lose Somebody” as “a little different than the [album’s] previous songs.” Although the song may not model his natural tropical house formula, it categorically plays up to the project’s summer-inspired branding with warm acoustic melodies, enabling Tedder to radiate the microphone.
Golden Hour is officially available for pre-save now.
