Lightning in a Bottle unveils Kaytranada, Glitch Mob, and more for MDW digital event
Although Lightning in a Bottle‘s 2020 installment won’t be returning, the team behind the California camping event have ensured the magic will continue. Do Lab has announced DGTL LIB, the inaugural Lightning in a Bottle livestream festival and its stellar mix of programming, in place of its Buena Vista Lake congregation. DGTL LIB will take place Memorial Day Weekend, May 22-24 on Twitch.
The virtual festival sets out to recreate the Lightning in a Bottle experience through a strong curation of musical talent, detailed focus on visual immersion, and adjacent arts and wellness offerings. DGTL LIB will welcome Kaytranada for his first-ever live streamed performance alongside beloved electronic aficionados including The Glitch Mob, TOKiMONSTA, CloZee, Shiba San, Mr. Carmack, Rinzen, and several more. Attendees will enjoy select artists perform in digitally-recreated LIB stages, courtesy of the woman-owned Vita Motus Design Studio.
“For the first time ever, a branded festival environment has been recreated in a gaming engine to be used for live broadcast,” stated Vita Motus CEO Heather Shaw.
The three-day digital endeavor will also feature yoga and movement workshops, educational programming, and a variety of whimsical activities to fully authenticate the community essence of Lightning in a Bottle. Kundalini yoga expert Jai Dev and Deep Exhale house savant Marques Wyatt will join the yoga and meditation instruction, while film producer Alan Steinfeld and actress Nat Kelly will engage in-depth discussions. Other festivities include Water Color Painting with Coffee, Aphrodisiac Chocolates, and making Sourdough Bread.
