Listen to WINK and nikko’s New Collaborative EP, a Double Dose of Dance Music Innovation

WINK and nikko have joined forces to release SEEING DOUBLE, a dark horse for the year's best collaborative EP.

The Bay Area-based wunderkinds are two of the electronic scene's most promising producers, blending nostalgia and novelty to make heady dance music that defies the constraints of their youth. In SEEING DOUBLE, they don't just cross boundaries—they rupture them, leaving listeners dizzy, disoriented and desperate for more.

Featuring five tracks, the EP is a testament to WINK and nikko's raw talent and innovative spirit, weaving together disparate threads of electronic genres with surprising dexterity. It's a balancing act that many veteran producers struggle to achieve, but they make it sound effortless.

To that end, SEEING DOUBLE is both a promise and a challenge, heralding the arrival of two formidable talents who are poised to reshape the electronic music landscape.

"This EP marks a pivotal release for us, as we prepare to upscale our brands and live performances to establish ourselves to the scene going forward," the duo said in a press release. "We really wanted to push a club-focused sound combined with more emotional elements."

Their vision is clear off the rip with "LOOKIN FOR U," where a barking verse paves the way for a distorted build that culminates in a nasty trap drop. The atmospheric "MERCY" then slithers into focus before a brisk Jersey Club rhythm takes hold, building into a four-on-the-floor drop sequence that mutates into a writhing trap drop.

WINK and nikko trade solo tracks by dropping the woozy "VERTIGO" and rave-fueled "CAN'T GET ENOUGH," respectively, before bringing the EP home with "GLIMPSE," a writhing banger where vocal chops contort through vintage breakbeats.
