Matoma drops summertime-ready 'RYTME' EP
Can anything usher in summertime better than new music from Matoma? The tropical house king is back at it with a new six-track EP full of feel good dance tunes. Although RYTME (Norweigan for “rhythm”) is Matoma’s first extended release since 2018’s One In A Million, the dance star has kept a busy release schedule full of singles and remixes preceding his new EP.
RYTME is chock-full of featured artists top to bottom. The festivities open the with interpolation of Earth, Wind & Fire’s ubiquitous “September” courtesy of Brando, who listeners may recognize from the mega-hit “Body” with Loud Luxury, and more recently his own solo outing “Millennial Rhapsody.” Singer-songwriter Anna Clendening, whose track “Boys Like You” is racking up streams, assists next on “Let It Go.” Robin Shulz collaborator Alida closes RYTME, but not before Captain Cuts and Georgia Ku lend a helping hand on “Beside You.”
