MORTEN, ARTBAT and Bonn Explore the Pain of Lost Connection In Pulsing New Track, “Hollow”

MORTEN and ARTBAT have teamed up with Bonn for "Hollow," a melodic techno anthem for anyone who's ever felt a relationship slip through their fingers.

Electronic dance music fans should know Bonn by now—he's the stentorian voice behind Martin Garrix's "High On Life" and Axwell Λ Ingrosso's "More Than You Know," not mention his songwriting work with Avicii, Harry Styles, Selena Gomez and countless others.

In "Hollow," out now via Insomniac Records, Bonn's aching lyrics explore the pitfalls of fractured connections and love lost in the static of misunderstanding. The Swedish singer-songwriter's powerful vocals cut through the heart of the pumping track, which pulses with a relentless energy that belies its melancholic core.

"Our love lost in translation" speaks to the universal struggle of trying to be understood, while "can't see a road that leads out of here" captures the claustrophobia of feeling trapped in a dying relationship. But even as MORTEN and ARTBAT's synths slice through the emotional chaos, Bonn's refusal to "follow through these shadows" hints at a thirst for self-preservation—a recognition that sometimes the bravest act is to stop seeking rescue and instead face the hollow head-on.

"Hollow" arrives in the midst of a touring hiatus for MORTEN, who recently suffered a post-performance medical emergency in which he was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Athens. The Danish DJ was hospitalized for five days and is now recovering from a shutdown of his immune system caused by Astrovirus, a common form of stomach flu, and an E. coli bacteria infection.
