NERO Seek the “Truth” on Lead Single From Upcoming Third Album, “Into The Unknown”

After eight years, NERO have finally returned to complete their album trilogy.

All the way back in August 2021, the influential electronic music trio announced the follow-up to 2015's Between II Worlds album. Since then, fans have had to stay patient as Nero tided them over with their unexpected RL Grime collaboration "Renegade" and solo releases from Joseph Ray.

Now, after several sci-fi social media teasers, NERO have announced that their next album Into The Unknown is coming in 2024. They also shared the record's debut single, "Truth."

Seemingly the album's introduction, "Truth" sets the tone for what's to come with a long, dramatic opening. Featuring words from The Mushroom Hunters by the legendary writer Neil Gaiman, a story of humanity's constant evolution and quest for knowledge is told. This gives way to a cybernetic soundscape consistent with the futuristic themes of NERO's previous albums.

The track's ominous, driving bassline contrasts with its electric keys in a way that makes you feel like you're speeding through a dystopian megacity at a blistering pace. This theme holds true in the accompanying music video, which shows the trio in a monochromatic world with visuals of supermassive celestial objects and their iconic stage.
