Premiere: Tibi Dabo – 'The Distance We Share'

After taking on remixes for the techno elite in Dubfire and Damian Lazarus, Berlin based Tibi Dabo returns to Crosstown Rebels with “The Distance We Share,”an intricate percussive beat with a startlingly fresh infusion of lucid benevolence.

Melodically complex and with an atmosphere all its own, “The Distance We Share” finds a succinct balance between club tracks and music with meaning. Tibi comments that the tune “is a homage to human interdependence. Even in the distance, be it psychological or geographical, we need each other to grow and progress. This track has gained a new meaning since the current situation and it’s become even more special to me now.”

“The Distance We Share” leads an upcoming 4-track release of the same name on Crosstown Rebels. Scheduled for release on June 19, the EP features an additional Tibi Dabo original and remixes from New York’s David Morales. Pre-order the full release here.
