Stream music simultaneously with fans across the world using Spotify's new 'Listening Together' feature

With hundreds of millions of listeners on their platform, Spotify continues to roll out new streaming innovations—their latest addition being a unique social function to help keep us connected during lockdowns: Listening Together.

Listening Together is a captivating visual feature that showcases music trends around the globe. When one user begins streaming a song, a virtual globe will rotate around to show the location of another user listening to the same song simultaneously. It is a simple yet eloquent way to unite fans around the world.

In a statement on the new feature, Spotify explains “Every moment, more than 30,000 people around the world press play on the same song on Spotify. Suffice it to say, listening connects us, even when we aren’t expecting it. Now, through our new global campaign, ‘Listening Together,’ we’re celebrating audio’s unique power to unite us—even when we’re apart.”
