The Weeknd Teases Rumored Collaboration With Skrillex
Just in time for summer fling breakup season, The Weeknd has returned to tease a rumored collaboration with Skrillex.
Over the course of the last few years, the Canadian superstar has led fans to believe that his last two albums were the first and second chapters of a trilogy. It started with 2020's After Hours and continued with 2022's Dawn FM, which featured his collaboration with Swedish House Mafia, "Moth to a Flame."
The Weeknd has now shared a lengthy glimpse into the trilogy's third entry, showcasing a rumored collaboration with Skrillex. While the dubstep icon's involvement is purely speculative at this time, it's worth noting that he influenced the development of Dawn FM and has been confirmed as a studio collaborator in years past.
Quoting the legendary philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, The Weeknd shared a snippet of a new track, which appears to be titled "The Abyss." Scores of fans in the comments were quick to note that the song has ties to an unreleased ID with production from Skrillex.
It's important to note, however, that Skrillex's involvement in today's version has not been confirmed at the time this writing. Check out The Weeknd's teaser below.
