Australian TikTok Star Jake Boehm earns almost $50,000 a month inviting his over 700,000 followers to blast EDM via a livestream while he tries to sleep.
The social media app TikTok continues to be a global phenomenon, gaining over 1 billion users across 150 countries. With all this traction, users are finding unique ways to stand out and even make a living through the video-sharing app. One user, Australian-born Jake Boehm is definitely thought of one of the more peculiar ways, allowing his followers to use the app to blast EDM throughout his house while he tries to sleep; this has gained the TikTok star almost $50,000 a month in earnings.
What the star has named an Interactive Live Sleep Stream, the live event takes place for around 7 hours each night and invites fans to purchase multiple different options through the app, all of which are called “Gifts” and have different consequences in the room Jake Boehm tries to sleep. Bubble machines, lasers and loud sirens, as well as electronic dance music, are just some of the options that have viewers in hysterics. Stating that the live stream has “changed his life forever” the TikTok star spoke to NeedToKnow.online where he stated:
“It started as one single gift and one sound, We now have lights, bubble machines, inflatables, laser lights and over 20 sound effects. – Every night is the same, a sound or light is activated every 10-15 seconds, it’s constant all night. I plan to keep doing the lives every night and adding new features. As long as people are watching and gifting, I’ll be live.”
