8 Things You Can’t Miss at Chicago’s North Coast Music Festival 2023
Returning to the newly renovated SeatGeek Stadium Campus from September 1-3, North Coast Music Festival is poised for a huge year.
Since its relocation to the scenic venue back in 2021, North Coast has been entertaining almost 90,000 electronic music enthusiasts each year. The event is one of the biggest and most exciting dance music festivals in the greater Chicago area, with scores of vendors, art installations, talent and more to discover throughout.
As North Coast gears up for its largest edition yet, we've highlighted eight things you simply cannot miss.
Chill Dome
The Chill Dome is a massive, domed soccer field filled with mesmerizing lasers, comfortable cushions and air-conditioning, providing a haven for festival-goers to cool down and unwind. The 360° stage features talented DJs playing downtempo, lo-fi, and deep house beats, curating an airy atmosphere that quickly became a fan-favorite over the past few years.
NCMF Yacht Club
A literal boat onsite, this floating attraction offers festival-goers the opportunity to enjoy stunning views of North Coast's stages from the top deck and explore its various rooms inside while enjoying access to a dedicated bar for refreshing drinks.
Fire Pit stage
The Fire Pit stage offers a mesmerizing experience within geometric domes that shoot fire from the top and feature a ceiling with dancing flames. Primarily featuring bass music, this stage adds to the overall electrifying atmosphere of North Coast, making it a must-visit corner of the festival for head-bangers.
Rainbow Lounge
A circle of hammocks surrounds a scaffold at the Rainbow Lounge, creating a serene oasis for festival-goers. As the night falls, the lounge comes alive with beautiful lighting, becoming the ideal spot for attendees seeking a respite and moments of relaxation amidst the music and activities.
Sky Fields
Sky Fields is the name of an impressive tunnel adorned with flowing fabric that stretches for nearly 75 yards, offering a picturesque and quaint experience. Throughout the past years, this spot has become a favorite among festival-goers for capturing Instragrammable photos.
Club Coast
New in 2023, Club Coast is a hidden speakeasy with a secret location onsite. Ravers are in for an adventure as they embark on a quest to find this exclusive party spot, and to make it even more thrilling, daily passwords will be sent out through the festival app.
Ferris Wheel
A massive Ferris wheel will also be added to North Coast festival this year, allowing attendees to enjoy breathtaking views of the festival grounds and the Chicago skyline.
