Kygo reveals virtual festival coinciding with release of 'Golden Hour' LP
Friday, May 29 is a will go down as a more-than-memorable 24 hours for Kygo. Not only is the tropical house commander slated to issue his 18-track third studio album, Golden Hour, but Kygo is pushing his album release one step further with the revelation of a coinciding virtual event—Golden Hour Festival.
In partnership with streaming platform LiveXLive as well as Palm Tree Crew management, the inaugural Golden Hour Festival will be spotlighted by Kygo’s first-ever album performance just hours after the record’s release. An array of other talents are scheduled for the celebration such as Alan Walker, Zac Brown and Jimmy Buffet in addition to former collaborators including OneRepublic, Sandro Cavazza and Chelsea Cutler.
The streaming event will serve as a fundraiser for charitable organizations including Baby2Baby, Crew Nation, and the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. YouTube as well as Google will be also be matching $2 for every $1 that is donated to the pandemic relief cause.
