LOCUS to Bring Drum & Bass to Tulum for Monumental Sophomore Festival In 2023

The festival is breaking new ground for drum & bass in the paradisiacal Tulum region.

"A drum & bass experience in paradise."

This is the motto of burgeoning festival brand LOCUS, and it's an accurate description of their forthcoming edition in Mexico’s destination city, Tulum.

Established back in 2000, LOCUS has been setting the benchmark for drum & bass events for over two decades now. Last year, the brand made its debut in Tulum, introducing the region to the genre and broadening its horizons. Now, its imminent return is set to enchant once again with a huge lineup.

The festival’s first day will feature sets from Fabio & Grooverider and Metalheadz artist Doc Scott, as well as Workforce from Must Make Music, LSB, Mark System, Monrroe & Emily Makis and more. Day 2 will feature an anticipated performance from Hospital Records founder London Elektricity, who will be joined by Exit Records head DBridge as well as Lenzman, Harriet Jaxxon, Rohaan and Submotive.

Jungle and drum & bass legend Goldie will take over on the festival’s final day, joined by four-time winner of the World’s Best DnB DJ award, A.M.C, as well as Brazilian trailblazer DJ Marky.

The mouthwatering LOCUS 2023 lineup also features a diverse cast of hosting MCs, among them Armanni Reign, Degs and MC Dino. Take a look at the full lineup below.

Landing in Tulum from March 2-5, LOCUS is slated to take place across three stunning venues, with its dozens of performers spinning until early in the morning.

Located just outside Tulum and surrounded by crystal-clear water, the stunning Buuts’ Ha’ Cenote Club will be among the two venues hosting LOCUS. An open-air space with a boho feel, the venue epitomizes the sumptuous city of Tulum.

LOCUS will also land in Tatich Beach Club, a seaside venue with a pool and restaurant, which will be hosting a drum & bass event for the very first time. Finally, each evening will finish at Tehmplo, one of Tulum’s hottest new venues, where the party will be drawn out into the early morning hours.
