Shaq and Myles O’Neal Rock Tomorrowland’s Rave Cave as New Father-Son Alias, O’Neal Boyz
Fans attending Tomorrowland over the weekend had little warning that the biggest father-son duo in dance music was poised to launch at one of the festival's most intimate venues.
Speaking with Tomorrowland's One World Radio, Myles O'Neal announced he'd be joined by his father Shaquille O'Neal, otherwise known as DJ Diesel, for a high-flying DJ set in the festival's Rave Cave.
"We’ve got some special news," Myles revealed to One World Radio host AdamK. "We’re debuting our duo, father-son duo."
Known for its underground aesthetic and tight quarters, the Rave Cave is one of Tomorrowland's most intimate stages, offering a unique contrast to its larger-than-life Mainstage. Myles, who DJed at EDM.com's Miami Music Week party earlier in 2024, humorously prepared his towering father for the unique occasion, saying it was "going to be a surprise" for him.

With Shaq and Myles both experiencing individual success on the decks, the NBA Hall of Famer had previously suggested the art of DJing was becoming a friendly competition at home.
"Everything is a competition in the O’Neal household," Shaq told us in a 2022 interview. "We’re born winners. Since a young age Myles was always the one to branch off from the athletic route and focus on fashion and music. He’s a born entertainer. I see him grinding on FaceTime and when he opened up for me at LSU. Definitely proud of Myles."
Adding to the day's excitement, elsewhere on the festival grounds, Shaq was spotted head-banging in the crowd during Sullivan King's set. Blending in was never an option for the NBA legend-turned-dubstep star, but his enthusiasm was contagious. Check out the video below.
