Deep Tropics, “The Greenest Festival in North America,” Returning to Nashville in 2025

Deep Tropics, known as "the greenest festival in North America," is returning to Nashville this August.

Four unique stages will transform Bicentennial Park into a neon-soaked oasis on August 15th and 16th. The festival's 2025 lineup features Chris Lake, Alison Wonderland, Subtronics, Liquid Stranger and many more acclaimed electronic music artists.

However, Deep Tropics is much more than just a music festival, thanks to its commitment to environmental sustainability. In 2024, the festival successfully diverted 87% of waste from landfills. Plus, they're able to offset their annual carbon footprint through a large-scale tree-planting initiative.

Speaking with EDM.com last year, the festival’s founders credited their sustainability success to meticulous sourcing: choosing compostable materials, cutting out single-use plastics and even recycling “impossible” items like microplastics and cigarette butts.

Staying true to this eco-conscious ethos, Deep Tropics will host its second annual Sustainability Summit before the festival kicks off. Scheduled for Nashville’s Studio 615 on August 14th, the event will bring together local leaders, artists and arbiters of change to explore how environmental, wellness and regenerative practices can uplift cities.

One of the most anticipated presentations at this year's Sustainability Summit is from activist Madame Gandhi, who transforms climate data and sounds from endangered ecosystems into music. Elsewhere, keynote speaker Tony Cho will share trailblazing insights on regenerative development and community transformation.

Attendees can expect a day of thought-provoking conversations, live music, local food and much more.

“Each year, we push the boundaries of what a music festival can be—not just in terms of the lineup, but in the experience we create and the impact we leave behind," said Blake Atchison, Deep Tropics' Co-Founder, in a press release. "From the Deep Culture Speakeasy, art installations and fashion show, to the food & beverage program; every element is designed to inspire, energize and cultivate a community that cares about each other and the future. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Music City for another unforgettable year.”
