Bedford's lyrics map the journey from isolation to connection, painting a vivid picture of a soul thawing after years in emotional permafrost. His familiar voice cascades like a mudslide of honesty through Above & Beyond's visceral production, excavating layers of solitude and secrecy: "I used to have a heart of stone, but it's melting now / I used to live my life alone, but that's changing now," he warbles.
