South African dance music icon Black Coffee has been hospitalized with injuries he suffered during a "severe travel accident," according to a statement shared across his social media today.
At the time, the Grammy-winning DJ and producer was flying to Argentina for a January 7th performance at MUTE, a club in the coastal city of Mar del Plata.
"Black Coffee was involved in a severe travel accident on a flight en route to his scheduled show in Mar del Plata," the statement reads. "The incident resulted in unforeseen complications and left him with some injuries. We can confirm that he is receiving the best possible medical attention and is surrounded by a supportive family and team."
