Dancefestopia postpones festival to 2021, shares new dates
No surprise, Kansas City’s premier electronic music festival, Dancefestopia, has canceled its 2020 edition and announced 2021 dates. The festival will take place from September 9 – 12, 2021.
Dancefestopia held out longer than most other festivals with respect to canceling the 2020 event. Organizers notably came under fire from a number of artists on the lineup, including G Jones, Bleep Bloop, and Apashe, who withdrew from the festival due to concerns with rising cases of COVID-19.
Zeds Dead and REZZ will headline the 2021 event, according to the bass-heavy promoter. The 2021 bill is almost identical to 2020’s, with the exception of Adventure Club, 1788-L, and Moody Good, who constitute new additions. The 2021 Friday headliner’s name has also yet to be revealed. Of note, Midnight Tyrannosaurus is the only act to not return in 2021.
