David Guetta and Kim Petras Rework Supertramp Classic for New Collab, “When We Were Young”
Channeling the timeless progressive pop of Supertramp, David Guetta and Kim Petras have joined forces for a new collaboration, "When We Were Young."
The saccharine song finds Guetta dabbling in Eurodance music, crafting the arrangement around a pitched-up interpolation of Supertramp's 1979 classic, "The Logical Song." The high-flying track is a far cry from the sultry Afro-house rhythms of "Big FU," his collaboration with Ayra Starr and Lil Durk, which dropped just two weeks ago.
Petras, meanwhile, is fresh off a big collaboration with DJ-of-the-moment James Hype. They recently released "Drums," a heady house track sampling Justin Timberlake's "Like I Love You."
Check out the official music video for "When We Were Young," which was directed by Hannah Lux Davis, below. You can find the new track on streaming platforms here.
