deadmau5 to Headline Free Concert With “Burning Man-Style” Art In Las Vegas
In a game-time announcement, deadmau5 has revealed he's got even more plans for EDC Week 2023 up his sleeve.
The superstar producer is launching the "Fabulous Commercial Center Block Party," a free ticketed party on Thursday, May 18th. As its name would suggest, the event is slated to take over the Historic Commercial Center, an easily accessible location particularly for electronic dance music fans staying on the Las Vegas Strip.
Tickets were quickly snapped up for what will be a night of live music and a "Burning-Man-style" art exhibition, according to a press release issued by Clark County. The "unprecedented event" will feature sets from Bella Strings, Franky Perez and, of course, deadmau5 himself.
The legendary DJ and producer will be performing his set atop the Forest House art car, an awe-inspiring mobile creation that brings nature's beauty to life on wheels. The vehicle has remained a staple of festivals like Burning Man and EDC over the last handful of years.

"This event will demonstrate the power of combining art and entertainment to revitalize urban areas," said art consultant and AREA15 curator Joshua Levine. "Historic Commercial Center is on its way to becoming an epic cultural destination, and we’re excited to partner with Clark County and Insomniac and show what we can bring."
Fans can also catch deadmau5 during EDC Week on the following evening, Friday, May 19th, at Resorts World's stunning Zouk Nightclub. You can find a comprehensive list of the week's events here.
