Excision, Wooli and Codeko Drop Anthemic Collaboration Years in the Making, “Don’t Look Down (Hold On)”
Excision and Wooli are back—and this time they brought friends.
A month after the longtime collaborators released a song with metalcore powerhouse The Devil Wears Prada, the prehistoric bass music titans have revealed a new track years in the making. This time around, they've dialed back the aggression and recruited Codeko and Annika Wells for an emotive anthem released in the thick of festival season.
The turbocharged collaboration, "Don't Look Down (Hold On)," incorporates all the unique talents of the quartet. After opening with haunting keys layered beneath impassioned vocals from Wells, we're greeted with a melodic bass drop that uplifts before they uncage the beast within. Giving in to their proclivity for heavy-hitting production, the group eventually blow the door off the hinges with a Jurassic bass drop to bring the arrangement home.
"Don't Look Down (Hold On)" is out now on Excision's Subsidia Records. Listen to the anthemic collaboration below and find it on streaming platforms here.
