ford. Drops “The Pace” Ahead of Hotly Anticipated Third Album: Listen
ford. recently announced that his third full-length album, Guiding Hand, will arrive in July via Ninja Tune and ODESZA's Foreign Family Collective. To celebrate the good news, the Grammy-nominated producer has shared a mystical single from the album, "The Pace."
Everything we'd expect from a signature ford. production, "The Pace" is a gorgeous composition replete with organic sound design and melodic mastery. Soft piano strokes introduce the arrangement before it develops into a calming, vibrant and hopeful soundscape.
Always experimenting with sound, ford. interpolates birdsongs in "The Pace," which ends as gently as it begins with a coda of soft biomusic, fading the track to a hypnotic lull. The release is paired with a dreamy music video depicting grainy and color-soaked images of life and the world around us.

ford.'s publicity team tells us the hands on the album's cover art are a depiction of a mold of his mother and older brother's hands, which was taken before the latter's death in 2007. It's safe to say that with each album he produces, fans watch him grow both personally and artistically as he pours more of himself into his music.
You can pre-save Guiding Hand here ahead of its July 21st release.
