Ganja White Night Announce “No-Phone, No-Lights” 360° DJ Set
In the lead-up to Ganja White Night's "Wobbleween" event, the dubstep duo is offering fans a unique opportunity to escape into their music by virtue of a no-phone, no-lights DJ set in Minneapolis.
The set, the first of its kind from Ganja White Night in five years, promises an experience where the focus is purely on the sound and the atmosphere, stripped of digital distractions.
"We haven't done a no phones no lights dark room DJ set since 2019 and this felt like the right time to bring it back, before Wobbleween in a city that has supported us from the beginning," the duo said on X, reflecting on their decision to revive the concept.
The growing popularity of no-phone events within the electronic music scene has sparked a wave of spirited discourse from artists, fans and organizers alike. DJ icons like Bob Sinclar, who recently opened up about the isolating effect of excessive smartphone use at live shows, have lamented the devices' tendency to detract from the connection between the performer and the crowd.
Ganja White Night's upcoming show aims to foster a collective energy where the music is the sole focus. The 360° setup adds a dynamic element and ensures the sound hits from every angle, while the absence of phones and lights encourages fans to be fully present in the moment. Miami's iconic Club Space implemented a similar no-phone policy for a 24-hour party earlier this year, and artists like Damian Lazarus and James Hype have championed the growing movement toward digital detox in clubs.
Ganja White Night's show is scheduled for October 24th at Minneapolis' Granada Theater. You can purchase tickets here.
