Good Morning Mix: go back to bass house basics with TS7
Travel back in time to TS7‘s 2018 bass house set from UKF On Air’s live collaboration with Night Bass. TS7, known offstage as Thomas Sampson, is widely recognized for combining elements of UK garage, house, and bass music, and the Bradford, United Kingdom-born artist continues this trend in this set, which features tracks from Skrillex, Habstrakt, Drake, Skue-K, Holy Goof, FineArt, Bushbaby, Nu Aspect, and more, alongside a grip of TS7’s own hard-hitting bass runners.
Regarding TS7’s more recent activity, the producer has put out several releases in 2020, including the Dub Mix of his collaboration with Slick Don, “Real Raver,” and a Tsuki remix of the track. TS7 has also pushed out two other originals, including the anthemic “Emotion,” and a high-octane co-project with frequent collaborator, Skepsis, called “Freak.”

Make no mistake—dance music is born from black culture. Without black creators, innovators, selectors, and communities, the electronic dance music we hold so dear would simply not exist. In short, dance music is deeply indebted to the global black community and we need to be doing more. Black artists and artists of color have played a profound role in shaping the sound and culture of dance music and now more than ever, it is necessary for everyone in the music community to stand up for the people that have given us so much. Dancing Astronaut pledges to make every effort to be a better ally, a stronger resource, and a more accountable member of the global dance music community. Black Lives Matter—get involved here:
