Jamie xx Is Transforming a London Club Into His Own Curated Space for 10-Night Residency

Jamie xx says he's long been fantasizing about opening up his own club in London. His dream is now becoming a reality thanks to a curated space he calls "The Floor."

From May 16th to 25th, the UK-based electronic music luminary will take over London's Venue MOT for a 10-day residency, a nod to his new track with Honey Dijon, "Baddy On The Floor." Each night is set to feature a performance from him as well as from a curated lineup of his friends and collaborators, who will be announced on a day-of basis.

"For years I’ve been dreaming of opening my own club in London, a place that represents my experiences in the best of London’s underground club scene; the intimacy, the community, the curation, the sound… this month, I get to make that dream a reality," Jamie xx wrote on Instagram.

Elsewhere on the event front, Jamie xx recently performed at Coachella's remarkable new Quasar stage. Outside of his London residency, fans can catch him at Glastonbury, Pitchfork Music Festival, HARD Summer and Miami's III Points, among others.

Jamie xx recently revealed that he's wrapping up his second solo album. He also recently worked with his The xx bandmates Romy and Oliver Sim on their debut solo albums, Mid Air and Hideous Bastard, respectively.

Tickets for "The Floor" are on sale now.
