John Summit, Subtronics and Tape B Join Forces to Reimagine Sage the Gemini’s “Gas Pedal”

When you find out the original came out 10 years ago, you're going to feel very, very old.

Out now is "Gas Pedal," a reimagined version of Sage the Gemini's 2014 hit of the same name from the unlikely trio of John Summit, Subtronics and Tape B. Since they debuted the collaboration together at Summit's "Experts Only" showcase during this year's Miami Music Week, it's become a staple on the festival circuit.

Fans of Summit will find themselves at home in the first half of the track, where Sage the Gemini's earworm lyrics slink through a familiar house rhythm. From there, Subtronics and Tape B's influence runs wild with deep subs and nasty growls that will leave fans screaming into their pashminas when they hear it live.

While Tape B and Subtronics joining forces is not very surprising, casual fans may find it odd to see Summit. However, despite reaching headliner status in the house music world, he's an outspoken proponent of dubstep and bass music, DJing along Subtronics at events like EDC Las Vegas and Lost Lands. He's also worked with drum & bass legend Sub Focus, with whom he release "Go Back."
