juuku Unveils Diverse “Lavender Dreams & Scarlet Nightmares” EP

The producer has crafted a genre-bending, 7-track EP for Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records.

When it comes to names to watch, juuku should be near the top of everyone's list. Today he's arrived with his stunning Lavender Dream & Scarlet Nightmares EP.

His Dim Mak debut is the quintessential juuku project. While most may know him for his floatier work, this EP goes beyond all expectations and expertly conveys his unique sound by virtue of glitched-out, forward-thinking sound design.

Lavender Dream & Scarlet Nightmares opens with "Moonlight" alongside Gianni Taylor, who embarks on a topsy-turvy speed house journey. "Lavender" (with Jolina Elísh) is a strong change of pace, dialing the tempo down to a comfortable house beat. juuku's collaboration with Holywatr, "Without u," is the biggest deviation from what we're used to hearing as he dives head-on into drum & bass. 

juuku teams up with echod for a heavyweight bass heater, "Wait For Me," one of the biggest highlights of the EP. The final two songs, "No Turning Back" (with Namelle) and "Lockup" (with NEWYON), also embrace hard-hitting sound design, bringing home the EP with his most unique work to date.
