Lastlings Release Heart-Throbbing Single “Gravity” on RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Rose Avenue Records
Lastlings' new single, "Gravity," invites fans on an indie-dance adventure.
Combining introspective lyrics with emotive house beats, the track is the fifth and final single off the sibling tandem's forthcoming album, Perfect World. The surging Lastlings duo, who were named to the EDM.com Class of 2021, will drop the record on RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Rose Avenue Records on June 23rd.
"Gravity" explores themes of love, lust and loss, with cinematic sound design and vulnerable storytelling. Equal parts heartbreaking and bold, the track finds Lastlings exploring what it's like to process complex emotions.
"We had been stuck on finishing this song throughout the entirety of writing this record," Lastlings said in a press release. "Amy used parts of a song that she wrote years ago, for example, the very end of the track, 'Now we’re on hold.' We asked Rinzen, who remixed a song of ours from our first record to add his finishing touches to this track. The driving gritty bassline is our favorite part of this song.”
