Listen to Innellea and Flowdan’s Gritty Cyberpunk Collaboration, “Forward Forever”
The most visible voice of the year in electronic music takes center stage once again.
In February 2024, Afterlife mainstay Innellea will tell the story of a dystopian universe in his upcoming album, The Belonging. Ahead of the release, he's shared a new collaboration with Flowdan, one of the scene's most recognizable vocalists in 2023. Titled "Forward Forever," the new single is a grime-infused romp through one of the futuristic destinations painted by Innellea.
The track opens with the everyday sounds of a bustling cyberpunk city, like water droplets, scanners and the whirring of machines, before giving way to Flowdan's commanding vocals. Mechanical growls echo in the background of a minimal beat and an uplifting synth lead takes the spotlight. This builds to a long but worth-the-wait drop that brings together all the isolated elements for an infectious groove that perfectly showcases the eerie, atmospheric sound of Innellea's upcoming album.
