Manila Killa keeps the electronic energy alive in remix of Alison Wonderland and Chet Porter's 'Bummer'
Manila Killa has put out a steady stream of content in the past few months, tracing back to his collaboration with MYRNE on their two track EP, Fluorescence. The producer’s joint project with Devault, “You and Me Now,” followed.
Instead of releasing one of his own originals this time around, Manila Killa offers his take on Chet Porter and Alison Wonderland‘s “Bummed.” The original is an indie-electronic single well-suited for the impending summer months. Instead of diving straight into guitar notes as Porter and Wonderland do on the original, Manila Killa adds echoing electronic layers that build in the remix’s introduction. Manila Killa’s spin draws on a new production backdrop that takes the track from alt-electronic to purely electronic without losing its appeal to a listener on a summer day. Manila Killa’s rendition of “Bummer” is out now Ultra Records.
