Mixcloud has launched a video live streaming platform
Mixcloud has launched a new live streaming platform called Mixcloud Live.
The service is available to Mixcloud Pro subscribers, and compatible with most basic streaming software options such as Open Broadcast Software (OBS), which is free, simple to set-up and recommended by Mixcloud.

Mixcloud Live has been released earlier than the platform expected to meet the significant demand for live streams during lockdown, and Mixcloud has advised some technical bugs or user experience flaws may occur while the team continues to improve the functionality.
As Mixcloud is a licensed and fee-paying platform, it means streams should not be taken down or muted over copyright issues, which often affects streams on the likes of SoundCloud, Facebook and Twitch.
