ODESZA has gifted us one last single before the release of their fourth studio album, ‘The Last Goodbye’, enlisting the multi-instrumental talents of composer Ólafur Arnalds for ‘Light Of Day’.
Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight of American electronic music duo ODESZA have continued their hot run of form, with a flurry of releases in the lead-up to their upcoming album. A sensational collaboration, their latest offering arrives as a seamless blend of two different sonic constructs, calling upon Iceland’s own Ólafur Arnalds for an immensely emotive piece of dance music from start to finish. We experience the warmth of the track just moments in as Ólafur eases us into the record, honing in on subtle piano and string melodies. Gradually, synthetic elements intertwine with the mix as do the spine-chilling vocals that make this track as authentic and as intricate as each of the other outputs we know that will feature on the album upon release.
Overall, this production provides a pretty perfect set-up for what is to come from the full works as well as their upcoming tour which starts later this month in their hometown of Seattle and sees them perform across the United States.
